Nereyda Zacarias, Giselle Rivera, Erica Arellanos and Samantha Sandoval have joined our lab! Nereyda and Giselle will be working on a project focused on bee foraging behavior while Erica and Samantha will be conducting an aquatic invertebrate survey of Puddingstone Reservoir in Pomona, CA.
Katarina Arce, Elias Khal and Frankey Sanchez will be conducting a project looking at the effects of temperature and humidity on moth abundance in Southern California.
Nicole Temple has finished her thesis (Causes of Cancer in Canines - A survey from San Dimas Animal Hospital) and is graduating from ULV. She will continue her education Fall 2020 at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine!
Dra. Contreras is P.I. on the grant Building Capacity: Recruiting and Retaining Students in STEM through Culturally Relevant Experiential Learning .
Nicole Temple has joined our lab! She will be working on a project focused on canine cancer, in collaboration with Dr. Cord Brundage (CSU Pomona) and the San Dimas Animal Hospital.
We received a ULV Faculty Research grant to fund a project on Hyles lineata. The project aims to determine the genetic differences among populations of H. lineata found throughout their normal distribution across a climatic gradient from the tropics to temperate zones.
